Yes, we've seen this bug before! It depends on why you are doing it. If
you want to learn the intricacies of motion control software, with
smooth motion across an arbitrary sequence of blocks, more power
to you. I thought about this a lot, and realized it was a gargantuan task
to do it right. And doing it wrong, or with shortcuts makes in an
interesting intellectual exercise, but not useful for actual machining.

EMC does a really good job of smooth motion with arbitrary lookahead
based on the specified acceleration it has been told the machine is
capable of. When you throw in the ability to use cutter radius compensation,
too, it really gets difficult. I was glad EMC came along to rescue me from such
an exercise.
