Would you mind sharing what the specs are for your pc?
i.e. the type of motherboard that you are using, and any other
information that you may know of?

Kim,
In my case, I did not think that my pc could generate enough pulses
using
the 201 (2,000 pulse per revolution) to move my cnc router at the rated
(inches/minute) that I wanted my CNC router to run at.
I set my 210 to 1,000 pulses per revolution and my CNC router ran fine.
Currently I am using a 201 for my Z axis.
If you are going to run a small mill, the 201 will be fine.
