You didn't read the cuttingedgecnc site very closely did you?? It says in
the heading "offset 0.25mm" ;o)
I don't know a lot about this but it looks like the offset is built into the
commercial cutters - that is, the cutting edge is ground onto the end of a
circular rod with the tip offset from the centreline of the rod. So, on the
machine, you would just have to pivot the cutter in a couple of ball races
so the cutter can turn freely and it would keep itself oriented.
Dancad has / had a function specifically for using such a drag knife and
automatically adjusts the cutter head position to allow for the offset.
