I just got two surplus Japan Servo motors type DS57B40-101. One has a
"Diablo Spare Parts" tag on it. The motor includes an encoder disk and
a Sharp IC IR93403 decoder chip on an attached printed circuit board.
I could find no information about this motor on the Japan Servo web
site. Does anyone know anything about this device?
The decoder PCB (Sharp GPIR26C) includes a small PCB about 3/16" x 1
1/4" with what appear to be laser trimmed resistors identified as VR1
to VR5. One of these PCB's is broken of right through oner ogf the
resistors. Any ideas about finding a replacement or a fix?
There are 5 leads to the decoder PCB: Vcc, G, A, B and Vee. What might
these be (other than supply voltage and ground)? (A Google search
found nothing on the Sharp chip).
