I'm not an expert but have a mill and made some chips. Most of the
CAM software I've used (Sprutcam, Mastercam, STLworks) all take in 3
dimensional models, not 3 flat views. The packages that you mention
all allow you to build 3 dimensional models. This is what the higher
level CAM programs are expecting.
