Phil -
If you haven't found this already, they say they have an
instruction book and partslist that might help:

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Draw Bar Problems
Hi,
I need to get "inside" the spindle of my Fray all angle milling
machine.
I recently got the machine, free of charge, from a friends
relative. It
seems however that the last owner had some creative solutions to
some
issues with the mill.
When I removed the end mill holder that was in the machine I found
a
small threaded insert that was screwed into the end mill holder.
This
stepped down the normal NMTB30 1/2 thread to something like 7/16".
When
I look up into the spindle I see what looks like a cap head screw
that
the draw bar tightens.
The drawbar is home made with a piece of hex bar soldered or
welded onto
a piece of round bar stock. Two nuts are threaded onto the top of
the
drawbar to allow a wrench to be used.
Any ideas how I go about disassembling the spindle to allow me to
remove
the cap screw and therefore use a normal draw bar ?
see the following page for pictures of the milling head/spindle
assembly
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/philw3/
Under the aluminum pulleys is a rotary "planetary" gearbox used to
select slow speeds. I can't see an easy way to remove this
gearbox.
Also any ideas on where I could buy a new #30 draw bar ? I've
checked
all the usual suppliers and they only offer Bridgeport or #40
drawbars.
thanks for any assistance
Phil
