Sorry I forgot about the next button,
Tim & Dave are right about that.
But it isnt an effective search method for going back very far into the archives. For example, how many searches will it take you to find the subject "Rayite"
And the awkwardness of single keywords (I have tried various types of Boolean searches but seemingly ineffective. Though I havent gone through multiple searches right back to the first page just to prove that boolean don't work)Try a search for "Re: Searching Archives" and you will get every message starting with Re:
I still think everyone can benefit by setting up an easy search system for such a huge list. There is just so much info it seems sad that none of us can find it all easily.
Jason and Jon made some positive comments but just how do we do index or search the list more effectively than now.
Thanks Marv for electing me,
First meetings at my place tomorrow night,
Easy to find from New York,
Catch a plane south for a few thousand miles then turn right for a few thousand more till you get to Australia then........LOL
I'm not trying to pass the buck to anyone to do everything or even a lot of it, if a group of us get it together we could all do a bit.
Maybe Dave's suggestion of a database ???
Regards
Bob Thomas
