Tim,
Looks like a 40 taper and more specifically an NMTB. There is a very good
page that a list member made and I hooked into the group FAQ (
http://www.ktmarketing.com/faq.html ) that illustrated tapers. It is
appropriately linked as "Tapers: milling machine tapers described".
The threading on the top is not really for a draw bar but more for a
retention stud. Bridgett my series II has the same taper. One thing to check
is the flange thickness. On Bridgett (from memory) I have to have a .315"
thick flange. Many of the NMTB holders are about a .450" thick flange and I
can not use them as the flange is too thick to let the lock dogs get around
it.. Just something to watch out for as you are shopping for tooling. The
ones that Enco/MSC offers is the thicker flange.
