Mastercam is legendary in their aggressive stance on maintaining the legal
use of their software and pursuing any channel that feels anything but legal
usage is acceptable. One of the rules of this list is that we do not support
or condone illegal software usage. As one of the people helping to run this
group part of my responsibility is to make sure this and the other few rules
are not violated. That is what I am doing. So, I will not back off in making
it crystal clear that this is the policy.
I am not insinuating that any of you are using illegal copies, but when a
hobby list starts getting a lot of discussion about a very expensive
commercial package there are many people that would think otherwise. With
almost 3000 people on this list and a discussion that may lead some members
to draw improper conclusion the only acceptable stance for the list as a
whole is to state the policy.
Any additional discussion on the stance regarding legal software usage and
the group rule supporting this needs to be taken up with Bill or I off the
list. Any of you can reach both of us through the
CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO-owner@yahoogroups.com email address.
