ok, thanks for the reply...
i currently use drivers from jvl (danish brand) and they dont need
any extra caps or 5v. i suppose the powersupply that camed shipped
together with the drivers has a internal cap for that purpose (those
can-sized ones) these cards also got optos onboard that are internal
powered. do you think i need the caps anyway? can i get the 5v from
the host (pc), usb, gameport...?
the reason why i want to swap to geckos is that they cost 1/3 of jvl
(i build small series of custom made routers, so i want to save on $,
without save on quality or functionality)
