Hugo,

If what you are asking about is a rapid prototyping style machine than
it would actually be on topic as it is the discussion of the building of
a computer controlled machine. There is no requirement that the machine
be a mill, lathe, or router.

I was looking at some of these machines that "print" 2 types of wax.
They put down a build wax and a support wax. The support wax can be
disolved away to leave your item in the build wax and you can them
directly investment cast it into metal. The price I got on the machines
was $50K for http://www.solid-scape.com little machine and $120K for the
RTM machine from http://www.sandersdesign.com/ Sure scares you off from
buying one.
