This capability is in both StlWork and VectorCam w/ 3D surface.

In the case of Vector, it will planar slice multiple surfaces
designed internally or imported DXF mesh, iges and stl surfaces. In
the case of StlWork, the formats are limited to STL and similar
triangular mesh format files (translated with the included
Accutrans). StlWork can output G-code for waterline style machining,
or will create pure sliced contours (called the Totem pole function)
and save them to a 3D DXF file.

Cad Hatching is a good technique for filling the solid interiors of
the slices with "glue". However, hollow models require less material
and will process significantly faster.
