Peter, If you have your old manual, you may find the process described
in there.Some manuals had it in there. The G29 is the tricky one of the
three as it really is a simple "safe move" call to send the machine
anywhere you specify in the code right after the G29. So to keep the
machine from "ramping" all three axis across your work to get back to
the spot where the G28 sent it home, you need to specify the x,y
coordinates listed on the next line, then install a z axis depth. Most
of it you can just "grab" and edit right while you add the sequence into
the code.

That G27 move is/was almost always in the end of my files. At the end of
every job, it would automatically home, match the location with my
tolerances and either notify me of a problem or just reset and be ready
to go.
