Bishop Wisecarver linear slides

Currently my lathe is CNCed, but the stroke on Schaublin 102N is very
short. It's about 90mm x 100mm (Longitudinal x transverse stroke).

So what I'm thinking of doing is removing the XZ gantry and putting in
some linear slides that are more to my liking. The size I'm thinking of
is 300mm x 100mm.

I'm wondering what amount of force will be exerted onto the ways, if
cutting titanium, aluminium, and stainless. Aluminium would probably be
harmless. But titanium and stainless, they would exert a much greater
force into the ways. So my question is how force is being exerted to
the ways? Does anyone know how I can calculate this force?

I know this has to do with the RPM of the spindle, the power of my
motor, and the depth that I'm cutting at. I would like to figure out
how much force is transferred into the lathe. Where can I find a chart
or a formula to figure this out?

The type of linear slides I'm thinking of using are the DualVee linear
tracks from Bishop Wisecarver www.bwc.com <http://www.bwc.com/> they
are moderately priced [a few hundred Canadian dollars]

I am not affiliated with BWC in any capacity. I just found their system
very simple. I would like to hear from anyone their thoughts on their
products.

Cheers.
