Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Rapid Proofing Material

Hi
I don't really use "proofing" material instead I use a lot of aluminum
its cheap and cuts well. The machinable wax is real nice soft but cuts
fluffy chips like plastic the problem with it is after you remelt machinable
wax it seems to be gummy like casting wax there is either a trick to how you
treat it or something that I have not figured out. Machinable wax is $$$ for
a disposable material. I suggest taking precautions and machine alum to a
finished product. Where I live scrap yards give you $.25lb for scrap alum
and sell at $1.lb. There are a lot of nice alum chunks from big shops and if
you turn in the left overs it comes out $0.75lb hard to beat.
