Hi,

Bill keeps going on about stripping unnecessary repeats of old messages out
of replies and rightly so - it annoys me to hell!!
Just as a matter of interest I checked the above digest (which is how I
choose to get the list nowadays) and found that, even allowing for the
normal lengthy heading and index and leaving in all the mail headings and
signatures, of the 2251 lines of text I recieved, 1780 were unnecessary
repeats and just 471 were relevant!!!
If everything but the sender's email address and subject were also removed,
this figure would probably dwindle to about half..
Come on lads - lets take a little care about replies and cut out anything
which isn't really necessary.
Bill, is there any way the digests can be indexed better and perhaps
incorporate links to the posts - one of the other lists I'm on (the Ganoskin
Orchid Jewellery list) has the digest posts sorted into subject groups etc.
which makes trawling through them a lot easier. Thanks,
