Controller Question

OK a Newbie here needs to know if this controller board will work
with all the free software and sharewhare programs that use a parallel
port setup. For the price it seems like a good deal for the newbie. I
quess what I want to know is can I use this board and use all the
free software out there, seems most controllers use the paraller port.
