Your problem will be finding freeware/shareware software that can handle
this board's serial interface in a sensible way - most of the readily
available software uses a parallel port interface, which this board doesn't
support. Take a look at the Xylotex board as an alternative (usual
disclaimer - just a satisfied customer):
