Hans,
No you don't ever need to ream the bushing. Since the bushing is
split it probably couldn't be accurately reamed anyway.
Are you sure of the sizes? Maybe the bushing isn't the correct
one?
I've used those bushings many times, never had one which wasn't an
easy slip fit.
