Hi Jim
Back in the old days (2-3 years ago) there were folk who experimented
with the power mac (ppc) versions of linux. It was possible to get them
running real time and the EMC. I've not heard of anyone hacking the BSD
kernel to add real-time to it.
I do know of a fellow who regularly uses his cube as the interface to
several machines at the same time. This is a rather easy thing with the
server stuff in the EMC.
