I have used CAD packages from Pro-e to Autocad to Solid edge. I have
never seen a CAD package that gives you more for the money than
Rhino. It is not a Parametric CAD (engineering CAD) and it takes
some getting used to but you can do some very complicated models. Not
to mention the fact that you can download a fully functional demo to
practice all you want for free, and a commercial license for only
about 700 bucks? About 1/5th the price of any other package with
similar performance.
People don't forget about Solid Edge Origin which is a free, fully
functional 3D parametric CAD.
