Re: Which CAD/CAM Package

I've used both AutoCAD and Rhino. I worked on the design of a new
soaring glider which we designed totally with CAD. Rhino was what I
used. For the money Rhino is hands down a better 3d modeling program
than AutoCAD, imho. There is a Rhino3D usenet and many users use
Rhino to create their designs then import them into Pro-E and such
for the CAM and other engineering stuff they need to do.

For just making 3D parts there is so much about AutoCAD that you
will never use, so why pay for it.
