ENCO (Colex) used to make a quick-change tool holder that fit the R-8
socket in their mills. I bought three complete sets (at $699.95/ea),
when it looked like they were going to discontinue them (they did
shortly after). They are really GREAT! I just bought the 2nd & 3rd sets
for extra E.M. holders & collet set, so, they aren't for sale. But, my
point is, it would not be at all difficult to come up with a suitable
Q-T holder that can be located on a MT tang. All it would take is a
'Master-retainer', and corresponding holders. I'd be willing to
brain-storm with anybody interested. Off-line, if this isn't close
enough to being 'on-topic'.
