Sometime ago there were postings about cutting gears (for clocks, I believe)
but I can't find the thread.
I want to cut 25 teeth with a diametral pitch of 3, approximately 9 inches
in diameter in steel plate one quarter of an inch thick.
I can use a 0.25 inch endmill because the radius at the dedendum is one
eighth of an inch.
Are there any gear cutting programs that I could use?
Thanks in advance for any help.
