One subtle feature of the cable chain is that it has built-in stops on the
links that only let it flex one direction, and also limit the bend radius
in that direction to prevent kinking of the cables. I didn't realize that
until I had some in hand.

Gortrac has all-metal carriers for reference (http://www.gortrc.com) as
does Kabelschlepp's Varitrak (http://www.kabelschlepp.com)
