Of course, you have to ask yourself how many of these 'features' are you
going to use on your machine. BTW, TurboCNC supports up to 8 axes and has
configurable I/O. Registered users are given access (i.e. are given a link
to download the source and supplied with a password to unzip it) to the
source code.
