A middle ground is to buy a machine and do your own work. Look at the
ShopBot (www.shoptools.com I think) They sell a CNC router that will do 4x8
sheets complete for around $5000. Several of them are used by boatbuilders.
Their web site even has a free download of a boat file that will cut a small
dinghy.
Make or Buy? Isnt that the classic question of industry?
