Plasma Spraying

I spoke to a friend who things I would be well off trying to plasma
spray the low spots in my lathe ways to build up rather than grind
down.

does anybody have a feel for this ? I got a price of $500.00 for
grinding the bed and cross slide then scraping and raising the
carrage, cross slide and tail stock.

Since I am really interested in the bed, I'd rather find an
alternative method. and I am not ready to attempt to hand scrape the
dual Vee's.
