el-cheap trim routers modification

I had to fix the el-cheapo trim router ($20.00 from harbor freight or
Homier)
The problem is that the collet is a piece of junk. it is turned on a
lathe by what looks to be a dull shaped bit, not a sharp CNC
machine. seems to have been a plunge cut.
Ditto for the mating internal taper. seems to have been a dull drill
with a taper.
the ridges were so bad as to prevent tightening and also caused huge
missalignment. At 28,000 RPM, these things are noticable.
I took the holder that I made to hold it in the Z slide and made a
simple block and bolted that on the lathe. angled the compound to
the 15 degrees. then put a drill chuck int the lathe chuck so as to
hold the 1/8 shank grinding bit.
with the router on a angle, the taper lined up axially to the lathe
and it was a simple method of cleaning up the taper.
I made a new collet so that part was easy.
The whole was accomplished by making one block to fit on the lathe.
and taht wasjusta 1" square that I clamped into the tool post so as
to allow vertical adjustment.
If anybody wants pictures, I'll post some in the photos section.
