I've had the same problem with auto-poweroff on two off my scales (300mm, both bought at the same time from the same company). One off the scales power-on when you move the slider but not the other one, but both off them continues to output data via the SPC output even when they are "off". Are you shore your SPC dies when the display on the scale goes off?
