Yeah, that was an idea... I found out how to ground my own internal
thread cutters.

I may end up doing that.

There was no way I was going to spend $100CDN on 2 flanges, which I
would need to machine anyways.

It would be both cheaper and better to cut threads
that size on a lathe. Cheaper because a threading
tool to fit in a boring bar is cheaper than a huge
tap. Better because the threads are _much_ more
likely to be parallel and concentric to the part
axis if cut on a lathe. So much so that I would
lathe cut the threads, even if I already had the
tap.
