This is NOT a commercial!

Hold everything, folks! If'n your just about ready to add the leadscrews
on
yer little 'roll your own' CNC machine, I just read, in the 5/5/03 issue
of
Design News (p.26) that Nook Industries "have reportedly come up with a
way
to roll screw threads with a lead error of just 0.0001 inch per linear
foot". Now, the GOOD NEWS: they estimate they'll be about 1/3 the cost of
ground-screws, and more reliable (and quicker) deliveries. It says they're
Beta Testing them now, with several customers in the OEM market, with good
results. Expect them this summer, so the press release says. Disclaimer:
Not related, nor do I own stock (But I sure wish't I did)!
