Don,
Sherline has finally gone all the way and now offers a CNC package
turnkey except for the PC. They are using EMC and include 4 stepper
drivers so adding a 4th axis is simply a matter of connecting the 4th
axis motor to the driver. Total package is under $2k. Stepper motors
look on the small side for serious hobby/small production but are
probably just fine for educational use.
