Hi,
Just a few points,
1. make the shafts as short as possible, if your looking to engrave
over a 24 inch table the then 36 inch long shafts will be ok as you
will place the bearing only 12 inches apart.
2. Just use 1/2 round bearing and let the weigth of the table hold
then down to the shafts, this will make alignment easier and require
less bearing material.
