Patrick:

I've done an EMC/Linux based touch screen machine controller using
the iOpener single-board computer and a touch screen. It uses a
resistive touch screen on the built-in 10.8 inch LCD at 800x600
resolution. The unit required a little hacking to beat the iOpener
into submission, but the install runs great and you can't beat the
price: $49 plus the touch screen (under $100). Linux directly
supports the touch screen and mouse at the same time with a couple of
trivial changes to a config file. Email me for more info or photos.

Best regards,

Ron
