Tool holders

Hi,

I have been looking for an old cnc lathe to try to upgrade it's controller, to avoid the hassle of having to retrofit a manual lathe (changing to ball screws, motor mounts...etc).
I found an old German machine Gildemeister with an old Fanuc controller at relatively a good price.
I'm planning to introduce a new controller, and try to use the servo motors (siemens, but I don't know exactly their specs. yet), and also limits and home switches.
The thing is, the lathe comes with 2 tool posts, with a couple of tool holders which I haven't seen before, they are called MULTIFIX Type C.
Is anyone familiar with such tool holders???
Can I program my controller to configure a second tool post???
Is it a good idea to start my hobby with such a machine???
