Jeff from Xylotex answered about his drive board and I have to say as a
satisfied user that you can't go wrong with his board. I have no experience
with Gecko but at more than three times the cost I guess they are effective.
I use a Xylotex three axis board and Mach1. I am driving three 350 oz.
bipolar steppers and it works great. I have also tried Turbocnc and it
works as well. Mach1 requires Windows 2000 or XP while Turbocnc is DOS
based and runs outside of Windows.
