Hi Dave;
Here are my suggestions, which may or may not be aplicable for home
projects.
1. All cables should be shielded.
2. Each cable supplying power to a motor should be distinct.
Specifically it should only have the lines required to drive the phases
of the motor and any required grounding.
3. If your going to use cabling for low voltage I/O it should also be
shielded.
4. Keep the AC for the router seperate and shield that also. This
of course is a much more expensve proposition, there is the possibility
of routing it seperately. But do understand that if the router has
speed control it will generate noise beyond what a normal unerversal
motor will.
5. Pay attention to grounding methods. Poorly done grounding is
as harmfull as no grounding at all.
