Questions about add-in parallel port card

I have an ITE887 add in card.

1. I have had my controller "blow" my motherboard twice. I added this
card in the hopes of blowing it up if I have a problem vs the
motherboard. Yes/No?

2. I can't get Mach1 to work with this as the address that it is at
0xA48 is not in Mach1's list. Mach2 works, but is still buggy. Can I
get Win2k to assign a different resource? I have looked on-line but
info in this card is non-existant.
