Might be worth trying an Oldham coupling. These come in 3 parts - two
bosses & a torque disc that sits between - & the bosses are available in a
number of bore sizes. See:

The diagram directly below "Welcome to Huco" illustrates an Oldham
coupling. These are also generally cheaper than helical couplings - Huco's
25mm diam Oldham couplings work out at around the £10 mark ($16).
