One of the methods suggested for calibration by the LME site, is to
simply have the machine machine its own base plate during
calibration. This implies all parameters are known to a high degree
of accuracy (leg length etc.) or on the Swiss site they take the
approach of machining a specific shape at various heights, and then
calibrating from there. Somehow my opinion is that it will not be
that easy.
