I am not familiar with desknc but I just use one of
those round spark plug gap gages for non-critical work.
It is just a flat disk with a spiral ramp around the edge
and a circular scale in thousandths. I just get the tool
close then put the gage in the gap, rotate it around,
and MDI G92Zxxx where xxx is the gap reading.
