Thanks for That! The grid plate is a great idea, and I just happened
to have an 8-inch by 10-inch piece of .375 Al tooling plate that I
drilled full of 1/4-inch holes in a 1" grid pattern for mounting
cameras. I forgot I had it until you said that. It should be perfect.

I know what you mean about not wanting to switch back and forth from
metal to wood. I'll bet my table saw is getting real tired of being
just a work surface to set my cutoff saw on! It's a guy thing. Sparks
are cool...
