I also have a Taig and am very impressed with it. If you decide to
get a mini mill (Taig, MaxNC, Sherline...) then I think the Taig is
defenatly the best choice.
However, from the way you describe your needs, you sound like you
may want something even bigger. You mentioned that youd like "at
least 12x7" then your probably better off getting something a little
larger. The mini mills are great for small parts (i love mine) but
its hard to do larger stuff with them. Good luck.
