Its okay to run windings at less than their rated voltage (i.e. 230
running at 115V AC) since the magnetic saturation is a volt/turn
thing. You cannot do the opposite given the same number of turns.
Actually IF you have two primary windings and they are at 230VAC,
they should already be in series, and putting them in parallel (in
phase) on 115VAC would yield the same AC output voltages. The
current 75VAC winding is too high for a Gecko supply anyway. It
would privide you 106 VDC plus or minus the input line variations.

If you take the transformer hooked up as it is and use the 115VAC on
the existing input then you will get about 37.5 volts on one winding
(53 VDC at the Cap) or 60VAC on the other winding (84.8 VDC). While
your target voltage should be approx 20X the motor's rated plate
voltage, you will find that 53VDC will probably get the job done.
Thousands of commercial stepper machines are all running at 24 to 48
VDC because of safety concerns and UL lab issues. UL considers
anything over 48VDC to be "dangerous" to humans and the testing
criteria (translated: $$$$) is much more complex.
