same as the energizing scheme for the coils. In regard to the motors
themselves it refers to the number of coils (2 phase, 5 phase) and in
regard to a logic drive scheme it refers to a 4 signal system as I
posted earlier.
Phase can mean lots of things and is a term used with encoders also, but
in each technology it means something different. We also have single
phase and three phase electricity and that has nothing to do with an
encoder or a stepper.
