That's what I was trying to say, is that it was intended for these
operations
to cause a hitch in the motion. There is a feature that allows the number
of times a second the GUI is allowed to run

in the [DISPLAY] section of the .ini file
; Cycle time, in seconds, that display will sleep between polls
CYCLE_TIME = 0.200

I usually decrease this to .100 seconds just to get more responsive GUI
operation. You might try decreasing this quite a bit to see if it helps.
