Given enough time effort and money, anything can be accomplished.
If your needs will be satisfied with a horizontal mill (I think a
Bridgeport will give you far more flexability of types of milling
you can do), then wht not? You would have to look at the same type
of X and Y modifications on the table as are common with the
verticle mill conversions. The Z axis would probably be the table
rise. Its a lot of work to do and not end up with many of the
things you can do with a vericle mill. Unless it was either REAL
cheap or was exactly what you needed, or you were just looking for a
few months work, you might want to reconsider the iron you're
looking at.
