I believe I gave incorrect advice yesterday. The Bridgeporttask and
bridgeportio
are the ones that the spindle speed doesn't work on (at least with my
boards).
minimilltask and minimillio work for the spindle speed, but not for the
digital outputs. I made a correction to the file bridgeporttaskintf.cc, and
have sent that to Paul Corner to see what he thinks of it. That change
makes the
spindle speed work, and the digital outputs also work, using the
bridgeporttask
and bridgeportio modules of EMC.

So, you've seen a pause when there is an S word in the block, too?
Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, as the S words are processed
through much the same path as the M words.
