newbie question

Hi all

I'm looking at turning my mill drill into a CNC machine using servos.
The mill is one of the bigger benchtop model with a 1.5kw motor and a
table movement of 600mm by 350mm or so.
I would like to be able to retain the manual mode and possible use the
encoder to give me a digital readout.
Have been looking at the Rutex 20A drivers, would these be suitable ?
Any other suggestions ?
